Do you want to volunteer but feel that you don’t have the time? Would you like to be a positive influence on the life of a child? A Big Bunch Community Match allows you to be a role model to local youth and doesn’t require a large time commitment. A Big Bunch Mentor requires at least 4-6 months commitment and only 2-8 hours a month!

A Big Bunch Mentor is matched with a group of 1-4 children from the waitlist. The Mentor is responsible for meeting with the children once or twice a month for 2-4 hours. Big Bunch groups get together and perform a variety of activities which can range from sports, crafts, bowling, the park, video games, movies, swimming, biking, etc. Low to no cost activities is encouraged. A Big Bunch Mentor must have transportation.

BIG BUNCH AT RIDLEY

Big Brothers Big Sisters has longstanding partnership with Ridley College in which once a month during the school year, grade 11 and 12 students from Ridley College engage with children off of the waitlist by playing games, creating craft projects, and other special activities. The purpose of the program is to for the children to create friendships, learn positive social skills, gain confidence, and engage in physical activity. Transportation is arranged for those families who do not have access to it. Events are typically on weekends and are two hours in length.

BIG BUNCH AT BETHLEHEM

Big Brothers Big Sisters has a new partnership with Bethlehem Projects of Niagara. The purpose of the program is to for the children to create friendships, learn positive social skills, gain confidence, and engage in physical activity. Big Bunch Mentors get together with 8-10 children, once a week, and play games, create crafts, and share some laughs. Sessions are held every Tuesday from 3:45 to 5:30pm.
