A Big Sister is an adult female mentor who is matched with a young girl between the ages of five and sixteen in a one-to-one friendship. A Big Sister must be at least 18 years of age but may be from any walk of life, single or married, with or without her own children. She is committed, caring and has the ability to provide positive guidance, support and safety to her Little Sister. Big Sisters are asked to make a commitment for a minimum of one year and to see their Little Sister once a week for 2-4 hours.
